At Saint Georges, the cuisine showcases the best of the Fribourg region while offering a varied menu. Alongside regional specialties such as “moitié-moitié” fondue, chalet macaroni, rösti, and chalet soup, the menu also features wood-fired pizzas, meat dishes, fish, and pasta. There’s something to satisfy every taste.
One restaurant, many ways to enjoy it. Depending on the time of day or your mood, take a seat in one of our four dining areas, each with its own unique atmosphere.
The Veranda
Bright and facing the Pre-Alps, La Véranda offers a panoramic view of the Fribourg peaks. It is both modern and inviting, perfect for dining any time of year—whether as a couple, with family, or in a group.

The Pizzeria
Centered around the wood-fired oven, the pizzeria offers a more rustic and welcoming atmosphere. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxed dinner with friends or family, with the crackling of the fire in the background.

The Poya Hall
A large poya runs the entire length of the wall, blending Fribourg tradition with contemporary lines. Connected to the Veranda by sliding doors, it can be opened to expand the space or closed to create a more intimate setting, ideal for private events.

The Terrace
Located in the heart of the medieval town, our terrace overlooks Gruyères’ central square. Open for all meals during the warmer months—enjoy lunch in the sun, dinner on sunny days, or simply stop by for an aperitif.

Group Meals
For group meals, we’ve created special set menus that simplify the selection process without compromising the variety of our menu. Whether it’s a family outing, a team dinner, or a get-together with friends, the restaurant can accommodate groups of up to 145 people, and up to 180 people in our Saint Georges dining room.
Breakfast
Every morning from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., our buffet features local specialties and homemade pastries. Open to both hotel guests and visitors.
